Wireless Control

There is a wireless controls revolution in the industrial world. As more wireless suppliers have entered the market each with their own new innovations the systems have become more sophisticated and the cost has come down. It most applications it is less costly to install a wireless control system than to purchase and install hard wiring between each component. Furthermore, the wireless control consoles are portable allowing the operators to stand in close proximity to the equipment being operated making their own decisions rather than relying on two-way radio communication.  One controller can be used to operate multiple operations on multiple pieces of equipment. Our primary supplier Miratron® supplies their systems with a 50 ft. tether cord as a back-up to the radio controller. If the radio signal is lost, i.e. dead batteries, the tether cord is plugged in giving full functionality to the operator.

We have supplied over 300 wireless systems into a wide range of applications. The controller shown here operates three functions of a land based drilling rig. A 3-Position switch selects between  Mast Raising, Floor Raising or the Lift & Roll Function.
